Aaron is a fantastic presenter who brings a real passion for sharing and inspiring others to his workshops. He has presented very informative and enjoyable children’s and young adult workshops at our libraries on a number of occasions and we are looking forward to having him visit our libraries again in the future! Aaron is very professional and approachable and has a great rapport with his audiences and I would highly recommend his sessions.

To whom it may concern, Aaron Pocock is an amazing artist! He creates so many types of breath taking art, including fantasy art. I've known him since 2012, and been a client since then, including ordering commissioned works. He is always thoughtful and pays attention to the wishes of the client. He pays attention to the smallest details and his ideas are unique and not similar to any other artists'. Being a citizen of Israel, I can also say that all the orders ALWAYS arrived on time, safe and sound. Aaron is full of responsibility and gives his works top priority. I would definitely highly recommend him for every job opportunity. Sincerely, Tamara Mkheidze.
I've painting since my mid-20's in the 1990's, and have become a student of Aaron's for a year now, and have found his teaching methods clear and concise. He works with each student individually - with a wide range of mediums - and we all have an enjoyable and easy-going time in his classes; where there's plenty of laughter and joking around. Aaron has shown us some demonstrations at the beginnings of the classes - which are interactive, and well-constructive; and we all get something out of each one, which we can apply to our own work in progress. I've begun attending my second year of Aaron's class again to keep my painting skills up; and to improve myself as well, as the more I practice and learn from another artist, the better I will become with my own work. Until I started attending Aaron's classes, I didn't understand all that much about perspective, style and colour - however, now I'm working with them better than I ever have before.

"This book is magical!" — The Sheepish Reader 'n' Writer"
A well organized, beautiful, and instructional book. Readers that are interested in expanding their art skill, particularly in dealing with fantasy worlds and creatures, will find much of interest here." — Sharon the Librarian
I went to art school, long long ago when hope was high and life worth living, with the intent of being the next Michael Whelan. Reality set in in there somewhere, and the upshot is I haven't picked up a pencil, much less a brush, in a long time.
But this? This made me itch to go find my pencils.
It's a lovely book on a couple of levels. Not an artist and don't care to try? No problem – just page through and get lost in the detailed and enchanting illustrations, and maybe dip in here and there to the engaging text. Art student? Keep this handy and read it cover to cover, and more than once. There's practical instruction here – including stuff I never learned in school – along with inspiration and encouragement, and advice on how to get past the artist's version of writer's block. Lapsed art student? Blow the dust off the art box, knead the kneaded eraser, and dig out the paper – you'll need it.
If I'd had this book mumblety years ago, I might not have become a lapsed art student. I don't know why I've never gotten to know Aaron Pocock's art before, but I'm glad to know him now.

The Fantasy Artroom by Aaron Pocock would be a wonderful addition to any beginning or intermediate artist’s library, not only those interested in fantasy. It’s thoughtful, detailed, and filled with explanations of vocabulary terms and drawing materials, both in describing what they are and how they’re used. - This book is filled with beautiful sketches and artwork, and has excellent tips for beginning and improving your own artwork. Showing a step-by-step process of going from using a reference image as inspiration to turning it into your own fantasy artwork, it emphasizes the very basics of good drawing more than once, so the reader is reminded instead of forgetting about it when they reach the next section of the book.Basic sketchwork aside, it also talks about character, mood, movement, and composition – and how important it is for any artwork to tell a story. In addition to sketchwork, it covers inking, watercolor, and gouache, and has examples of each at all stages of completion so you can follow the process the artist used to create a finished piece. all, it’s something I’ll be happy to add to my own art library, and will likely go back to repeatedly.
After ten years of commissioning illustrations for our publications, Aaron Pocock continues to surprise and delight us with his insightful interpretations, speedy turnaround, and professional manner. - Leela Williams (Metier Media Pty Ltd)
“Aaron Pocock’s drawing workshop held at our library was a great success, it was well attended, the kids loved the activities and his warm and engaging manner made it a terrific event. He gave kids the confidence to realise they could be artists if they followed some simple techniques”.
