Aaron  pocock-children's  illustration

Welcome! And thanks for stopping by. You've reached the website of Brisbane-based illustrator, Aaron Pocock.

I am a 40-something dad with a very active imagination who refuses to put down his crayons and get a 'real job'. There have been a few highlights in my career and right up there at the top was the set of stamps I completed in 2011 to commemorate Children's Book week, you can see more
HERE:

I've written my own 'How To' art book, illustrated 80-plus books in various capacities (cover art, interior illustrations, designed and laid the books out). I understand book publishing and illustrating from both sides of the coin. I even worked as a bookbinder for a year-and-a-half so it's safe to say I have a thing for books.

Here you'll find my Blog with some new art, some works in progress, links and lots of other cool stuff.

Schools- You can book me to teach drawing and painting workshops. I have a Blue Card and Public Liability Insurance.

Appearances- I'm available for appearances, BOOK ME HERE

I look forward to illustrating your books and appearing at your events to present workshops and demonstrate techniques.

"A wonderful addition to any beginning or intermediate artist's library, not only those interested in fantasy. It's thoughtful, detailed, and filled with explanations of vocabulary terms and drawing materials, both in describing what they are and how they’re used." — BECL Book Reviews
